Meet the Counselor

Everett Stuckey

My name is Everett Stuckey, and I am the 9th- and 10th-grade counselor at Collegiate School of Medicine and Bioscience. I hold an Education Specialist (EdS) degree in Learning Technologies and Design from the University of Missouri, and I am currently enrolled in the M.S. in Data, Learning, and Society program at Teachers College, Columbia University, and the Data Science Methods for Digital Learning Platforms Certificate Program at the University of Pennsylvania. My work connects school counseling, college and career readiness, educational technology, data science, and equitable access to high-quality opportunities. I attended the MA in Counseling program at Lindenwood University and earned my BS in Finance from Indiana University, where I was a Herman B Wells Scholar, receiving a scholarship for full tuition, room, board, and stipend. Having the opportunity to complete undergraduate and graduate school without any student debt was achievable for me, and I believe I can help any student pursue the same kind of path.

I previously worked as the High School Counselor at McKinley Classical Leadership Academy in SLPS and in the East Saint Louis School District for the Wraparound Wellness Program. I completed my internship hours at Lincoln Middle School and East Saint Louis Senior High. Before working in education, I had the opportunity to put my finance degree to use working in investment banking for Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank in New York.

In my free time, I play soccer, chess, and read. I also continue to dabble in finance, trading derivatives and building financial models, which is what I consider to be “fun.” Come see me about starting a Finance Club!

My goal is to help students achieve their full potential by providing practical guidance, strong advising systems, scholarship and enrichment resources, and data-informed support. I am especially focused on helping students find meaningful academic, career, internship, research, and summer opportunities that match their goals.

Relaxed on my summer vacation participating in the Show Me Careers Externship Program and developing an Educational Data Science degree program for Saint Louis University's School of Education.
